Every year, on the last weekend of June, the town of Yateley, Hampshire, comes alive with the sounds of an incredible party. Gig on the Green is a community celebration that brings together music from local talent and some of the UK’s top tribute acts.

Community

Organised by Yateley Sports CIC since 2011, Gig on the Green has become a highlight of the Yateley social calendar, bringing together the local community in a real family and friends-oriented event where all profits go towards supporting the sports facilities being developed around Yateley United Football Club .

Location

Yateley is located in the north east corner of Hampshire close to the M3 and A30. Gig on the Green Yateley will be taking place on Yateley Green, in between Reading Road and Firgrove Road. The car park and main entrance on the day will be via Firgrove Road.

Seating

Food, drink and seating

Bring your own chairs and/or picnic rugs. Festival-goers may bring in food and drink (no glass please!) for their own consumption but please be aware that we do not permit alcohol to be brought in after 6pm. This applies to admissions and readmissions. There are multiple traders selling a variety of food, drinks and snacks as well as festival accessories.

Parking

Car parking

There is limited car parking provided on the playing field, adjacent to Firgrove Lane. The car park is free but is managed by a local charity who will be collecting donations. Cars may be left overnight but must be removed by 8am on the Monday following the gig weekend. Please respect our neighbours by parking responsibly and leaving the site quietly.

If you live locally and are able to, we encourage you to travel on foot!

Under 18s

Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible person who is themselves over the age of 21. Security staff and traders selling age-restricted items will check ID for anyone appearing under the age of 25.

There are a limited number of 3m x 3m pitches for gazebos available to purchase on our tickets page . These are available on a first come, first served basis.

The booking is for the pitch only so you need to bring your own gazebo. Only pre-booked gazebos will be permitted onsite.

Concert

Important Information

Now to ensure everyone can enjoy themselves safely there are a few common sense rules:

  • No dogs
  • No barbecues
  • No underage drinking - We'll be taking a very firm line on this and any groups where this is found to be happening will be asked to leave
  • Alcohol policy - Ticket holders can bring in alcoholic drinks for their own consumption until 6pm. After 6pm, alcohol MAY NOT be brought into the festival. This applies to both admissions and re-admissions.
  • We discourage glass - please decant wine, etc. into plastic containers
